Kapehu Cottage is situated on a twenty acre plantation property with a waterfall, fruit orchard, garden and twelve acres of woods. Our Pepeekeo vacation rental cottage is situated on it's own site and offers an outstanding ocean view as well as a view of the 14,000 foot peak of Mauna Kea. The cottage is newly built in a craftsman style, located in a peaceful, private and natural setting. The furnishings are Hawaiian style, very casual and comfortable. Accommodations for up to four guests with a private upstairs bedroom with a half bath and sitting area.

The lower level is an open floor plan with living, dining and kitchen. One of two couches is a queen sleeper. We also offer a queen inflatable bed which can occupy it's own space in the reading nook. The lower level full bath features a glass block shower and is private from both living areas. Adjacent to the living area is a screened, furnished lanai. There is a full size and equipped kitchen with granite counters and an eating bar. The living area includes a TV with DVD player and CD/Stereo. The reading nook with large windows is bright and airy.

There are two lawn areas outside the cottage with a BBQ and picnic table. You will also find a covered picnic area adjacent to the orchard with table and hammock. Our Pepeekeo cottage is just a short drive away from; Akaka Falls, the Scenic Drive Loop and Botanical Gardens. A twenty minute drive to Hilo with shopping, restaurants, museums, golf courses, planetarium and the University of Hawaii, as well as other cultural interests and tour activities. Volacano National Park is a 45 minute drive and the summit of Mauna Kea takes an hour drive. The beaches of the Kohala Coast are an hour away.
