Classic South Bristol Village Cottage with Harbor View

This turn-of-the century New England cedar-shingled house is located in the heart of South Bristol village, one of the loveliest little fishing villages on the coast of Maine. On the house's back deck, you can see boats passing in the harbor. Walk a block and a half to the swing bridge that separates South Bristol's east and west harbors and you'll see fishing and lobster boats unloading the day's catch and pleasure yachts swinging on their moorings. While there, you can also pick up groceries and fresh seafood. A short walk will take you to South Bristol Lobsterman's Co-op where you can take out live or cooked lobsters or eat at the dock. You're just a mile from scenic Christmas Cove (visited in 1614 by Capt. John Smith) and just 15 minutes from Darmariscotta Village, which offers supermarkets, fine restaurants, and numerous galleries and boutiques. You're also short drives from Pemaquid Point Lighthouse (now on the newly minted Maine U.S. quarter) and the historic fort at Pemaquid Harbor.
