Grounds are dotted with flowering ground covers, stone walkways and paths, and raised stone ledges to sit and ponder after a bike ride on the peaceful gravel road, canoe paddle, or early morning dip. Property is ideal for shore strolls or settle into a comfortable lounge chair at the water's edge while the children play and swim in the shallow waters. After a busy day of hiking or exploring in nearby Sauble Beach or Wiarton, settle back on the dock with a drink. Maybe you're a late-niter, so take in the awesome display of stars - only visible because no city lights exist. Possibly the "Milky Way" will emerge. All this while roasting marshmallows over a bonfire.

The unique upper level was added 35 years ago for more space, and was designed with a period mansard roof in keeping with the charm of the original dwelling. Upstairs are 4 spacious bright bedrooms all with windows, and a 4-pc bath. On the main floor, you can enjoy a bright 15 foot entry room with skylights and ceramic floors, kitchen with dining area and lots of windows, spacious L-shaped livingroom with stone fireplace with glass doors which includes adjoining kids TV/play area plus another 4-pc bath for added convenience. Maximum of 5 occupants to maintain the quiet of the surrounding properties.

Sorry I didn't get to say goodbye, we tried to be out on time & things were a little crazy. Wanted to say we had a beautiful week & absolutely loved the property. The kids enjoyed swimming right out front. The sandy beach area beyond the stones was unexpected… we took our 18 month old in for the first dip ever! The cottage was bright & clean, the décor & furnishings quite pleasing & such big rooms. Lots of trees & privacy to play & roam & the lovely grassed waterfront with dock was ideal sunset viewing & nightly bonfires for family time. Early mornings found us canoeing the shoreline by sunrise! Tobermory, Lion's Head & Sauble Beach were fantastic destinations to explore plus ice cream, homemade fudge, French fries & amusement rides made it exciting!
