Ocean on 3 Sides on Historic Conception Bay in charming Port de Grave
Have morning coffee on the deck watching whales feed just beyond the house. There’s ocean on three sides. The Cliff House in Port de Grave, on Conception Bay, is located in one of Newfoundland's oldest and prettiest fishing villages. The house is 70 minutes from St. John's airport, with great hiking and strolls over the hills or down to the nearby harbour. In 1597 the first Newfoundland family (Daw, now Dawe) came to this hamlet. The historic atmosphere in these beautiful surroundings dates back 150 years before the birth of Mozart. Our traditional style 'salt-box' house is self-contained and comfortable. It’s a 15-minute walk to the harbour shop where you will see at anchor a colourful array of long-liners. The Cliff House is a wonderful place to relax and do nothing’ and it’s a great base for visits to St. John’s, Cape St. Mary’s, historic Brigus, and boat tours from the harbour. The view from the Cliff House is very beautiful.
