Magical house on the Pacific coast of Oaxaca, Mexico. Located beside the colorful town cemetery this home with mahogany floors, Spanish cedar beams and a red tiled roof is the place for the perfect getaway. The front and back patios are done in exquisite river rock and are wonderful for lounging after a day at the beach that is a 2 minute walk away. For those who love to cook, the kitchen comes fully equipped with all the gadgets one could fathom. The small flowering garden attracts hummingbirds, iguanas and numerous colorful butterflies. The palm covered bridge on the way to the bathroom makes the whole thing feel like a giant tree house. This is the perfect house for those who don't want the sterile, typical experience of a resort and yet want all the amenities of home. The house comes with cleaning service (Also gardens and animals are taken care of), TV, DVD, VCR, telephone, washing machine, hot water and feel free to ask us about anything else you can think of! . The animals of the house are three outdoor dogs and a yellow-headed parrot. All you need is your toothbrush! About the Area: Puerto Angel is a small fishing village located on the Pacific Coast of Oaxaca, Mexico. It has a stunning bay and its beach is one of the safest in the area, with few waves and no undetow it is the perfect swimming spot for kids. There are daily snokeling trips leaving from the beach and the locals will take you in a lancha boat to the nearby pristine beaches of Estacahuite and La Boquilla, you may even see sea turtles, dolphins or whales. Like fishing? The waters around Puerto Angel are abundant and you will definetley be able to catch your own dinner. There is a small fresh fruit and vegetable market in town where you can find everything you need to make a meal. Ten minutes away is Zipolite Beach, a 2 km stretch with good surf. In Zipolite, is the Solstice yoga center that offers daily classes. Mazunte Beach (15 minutes away)is a beautiful place to spend the day and be sure to check out the Turtle Museum so you can learn about the way in which they are prot! ecting the lives of endangered sea turtles. Have some shrimp cocktail in San Agustinillo and be sure and check out the local librairy where you can play a game of chess or Scrabble with the locals. Early morning birdwatching heaven is the lagoon at Ventanilla, where you can see crocodiles. Not an early riser? Go late in the day to watch the sunset on this virgin beach that stretches for miles or even book a horse and ride of into the sunset. On Mondays, the Pochutla market is bustling with vendors and is the ideal place to buy fresh flowers or those practical colourful Mexican bags that make such great souvenirs and gifts for people back home. The cost until December 15th, 2004 is 100 USD per night with a minimum of five nights or 2500 USD per month. After Dec 15th, 2004 rates go up to 120 USD per night, minimum 5 nights or 3000 USD per month. The house has three outdoor dogs and a yellow headed parrot, they and the gardens are taken care of by the cleaning service. Daily cleaning service during your stay. | |
