Spicewood Cabin, a comfortable quaint vacation home, is located in the heart of apple country, within the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in beautiful Nelson County. Nearby are Crabtree Falls, Wintergreen Resort, Charlottesville, Lynchburg, Oak Ridge Estate, and several wineries. A short walk will bring you to the Appalachian Trail for some great hiking. Nelson County is a natural outdoor playground and each season offers recreational activities, sight seeing opportunities and many scheduled events. Spicewood sits alone on two acres of land with Harpers Creek, a native trout stream, in the backyard and a small brook meandering through the front yard. Wander up to the north side of the property, and you will find a primitive stone fireplace overlooking Harpers Creek. A mountain looms across the road from the cabin. A bridge across the Tye River is a few hundred feet away. The Tye River is regularly stocked with rainbow trout, and offers canoeing and kayaking in some areas. There is an apple orchard at the end of Harpers Creek Lane where you will find yourself surrounded by the magnificent Three Ridges, Priest and Friar Mountains. It is peaceful and serene here.
