Our cottage is located on Lac Edja, Quebec. The cottage is approx. 75 minutes from Ottawa, Ontario and 4.5 km from the village of Blue Sea, Quebec. It is situated on a flat 1.5 acre property with approx. 400 feet of lake frontage.

The cottage is facing east and offers amazing sunrises. The property is surrounded by forest and is located on a dead-end so there is no traffic and noise to worry about. The yard is a large, safe,open grassy area surrounded by mature trees. There is enough space to play badminton and volleyball. Nets and equipment are available to guests. You can also enjoy a walk along the lake in a safe and peaceful environment.

The lake is clear and has a sandy waterfront. Guests have full access to a canoe, a row boat and a peddle boat.

The cottage sleeps up to 6 people. It has a master bedroom with a queen-sized bed; a second bedroom with a double/single bunk which sleeps 3 people and there is a fold out single bed. The kitchen is bright and open to the living room; it includes fridge, stove, microwave, pots and pans, dishes, cutlery, etc. The living room has a beautiful stone fireplace and both kitchen and living room have large windows that overlooks the lake; The bathroom has a 4 pc bath w/shower & tub. The cottage has a TV, VCR and CD player. It also has a collection of paperbacks and children’s books for your enjoyment. Other amenities include: electricity and hot water, a wraparound deck, patio furniture, a new bbq, dock and raft to swim to, some social games and sand toys.

There is a 41km cycling and walking trail within minutes and several golf courses to choose from (Club de golf Algonquin,18 holes, approx.10 minutes and 2 other courses within 10 min. to 30 min.

For weekly rentals, guests are asked to check-in on Sundays at approx. 2 p.m. and check out on Saturdays at approx. 11 a.m. Guests will be required to provide a 50% non-refundable deposit as part payment at the time of booking. This deposit may be sent via mail. The deposit is not a cancellation penalty, rather it amounts to liquidated damages in the event that a guest decides to cancel after booking.

Sorry: No pets, No smoking, For one family only. No doubling up of families. Friends may visit for the day. Overnight friends for your children are acceptable but should be mentioned at time of booking. Any other arrangements must be discussed with the owners at the time of booking. Otherwise, no overnight guests.
