There are several good restaurants within walking distance. Club Santiago is a private gated community ten miles north of the city of Manzanillo. Casa Stevenson is on Santiago Bay and Playa Miramar a three mile long beach perfect for long walks and jogging. Playa Miramar is by far the best beach in the area, it offers waves high enough for surfing at one end and a calm beach for toddlers at the other. There is a sunken ship good for diving and snorkelling.
