Directly across the very quiet road is your own private lawn and granite shorefront. There is also over an acre of lawn and woods to enjoy behind the cottage. Within walking distance is the Petit Manan National Wildlife Refuge with hiking trails and lots of wild blueberries. Also, the trail to the summit of Pigeon Hill -- a very rewarding short hike with grand vistas of island studded sea and the mountains of Acadia. Nearby are pristine lakes and the Schoodic Point section of Acadia National Park.
