Enjoy peace and tranquility on the banks of the crystal clear EDJA Lake less than an hour and a half from Ottawa. The two bedrooms accommodate four adults comfortably (one double and two singles). Activities: swimming, snorkeling around nearby island with interesting rock formations, fishing (pike, bass and grey trout), nature trails, bicycling along a 41 km groomed bike path. Bird watchers bring your binoculars! Peddle boat and row (fishing) boat included. Small campfire on the shoreline is permissible when no curfew is in effect. There are several golf courses in the immediate region. These include Mont Ste Marie, Chateau Logue Resort, Algonquin Golf Club and the picturesque Le Sommet Golf Course which is less than 10 minutes away.

Touring: Visit old Fire Towers at Maniwaki, Blue Sea and Cayamant Lake. An Interpretation Centre and Visitors Centre are located in the Town of Maniwaki. Plenty more to visit and see!

Supplies: Large grocery stores as well as liquor stores are located in the nearby towns of Gracefield and Maniwaki. A liquor store (SAQ Agent) with decent selections of wine also can be found in the nearby village of Messines.

Dinning Out: Whether celebrating an anniversary or just looking for a quiet dinner, fine dinning is available in Messines at La Cremailliere or at the Chateau Logue Resort in Maniwaki. Early reservations are essential.

Medical Emergencies: Pharmacies are available in Gracefield and Maniwaki. The Community Hospital is located in Maniwaki.
