Our charming summer home, a short walk to beautiful Friel Beach, is great for kids. Enjoy swimming, playing on the beach, tossing a Frisbee on the wide sand bars, or just relaxing in the sun. Dramatic sunsets over the sea are not to be missed. Also enjoy visiting one of the many nearby cultural, historic or recreational spots. Golf is about 10 miles away, horseback riding two miles, sailing in Shediac 14 miles, evening baseball games around the corner. Groceries, video rentals, bank/ATM machine, pizza shops, and Fred's Restaurant are in Cap Pele, about a mile drive or bike ride. Lobster is king, and seafood is at its freshest. Visit the Aboiteau wharf with restaurant and fish market for great seafood. Another favorite is the village bakery, but many mornings we just walk to the local Tim Hortons. The house has a large eat-in kitchen that doubles as a card and game room. An adjacent "quiet room" is good for catching up on your reading. The living room is bright and sunny. The first floor master bedroom has a queen size bed; three second floor bedrooms have a double bed, two twin beds, and a bunk bed with twin bed. There is a shower on the first floor and full bath on the second. The house has a microwave, coffee maker, cable TV, VCR, DVD player, washer and dryer, clothesline, beach chairs, and telephone (please use phone card for long distance). All linens and towels are included. Major tourist attractions are within 30 to 55 miles from the house. Moncton is 33 miles, Confederation Bridge 41 miles, PEI across the Confederation Bridge, and sea kayaking and Hopewell Rocks (with its 30-foot tides) at the Bay of Fundy 53 miles. | |
