Special Features: Our private 8 room, 1800 square foot summer home is located on Hare's Lane on the east side of beautiful Lake Mindemoya, 3 km west of the Town of Mindemoya on Manitoulin Island. We have 280 feet of frontage and a wonderful westerly view of the Lake and its sunsets, a dock at the water and all the amenities of home.The Town of Mindemoya 3kms away, has a grocery store, three restaurants, a hospital, a pharmacy, a veterinarian and a library. We are a short drive to a number of beaches, hiking trails and golf courses.

Interior Description: Besides the four bedrooms our home has a living room, full kitchen, a separate eating area, family room and bathroom. All rooms have their own electric heat thermostats. Our master bedroom has a king size bed, large dresser, closet and hardwood floors. The living room has a couch, love seat, hardwood floors, propane fireplace, TV set with a DVD player (there is no satelite or cable TV) and radio. The living room, 3 of the bedrooms and the family room all have large picture windows that face west towards the lake. Our kitchen has a fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, dishes and cutlery, we provide the linen. We have a full basement with a washer and dryer. Our water is drawn from a well and is UV sterilized and softened and we have a phone with long distance service.

Exterior Description: Our lot is bordered on the west by 280 feet of water front on the lake, on the south and north by cedar trees and on the east by a farmers field (where deer are commonly sighted). Beyond the field are stands of maple and cedar and no buildings. Although mostly cleared our lot has cedar, apple, ash, maple , birch and willow trees. We have a propane gas barbeque and a new deck (installed in 2009) on the west side of the house that can be accessed from the family room. Stairs cut out from the rock lead down to our permanent and 25 foot summer docks. We step off the end of the dock into about 3 feet of water. The bottom is rocky for about 20 more feet before it slants down to a sandy bottom. Two kayaks and lifejackets are available.

Activities Nearby: A number of public beaches on Georgian Bay including Providence Bay and Carter's Bay are no more than 20 kms away. The Island also has a number of hiking trails, including the Cup and Saucer, Bridal Veil Falls and Mch'geen, all of which are within 30 kms. The Island has 3 golf courses, one of which is 5 kms from us as well as a number of dining establishments . There are also horseback riding stables as well as Country Fairs and Native Pow Wows over the course of the summer. Internet access is available at the library and at one of the restaurants in Mindemoya.

A deposit of $300.00 per week is required.
Dogs (maximum of two) are permitted but not on the hardwood floors. Sorry no cats.
